The National Park Morrocoy
The National Park Morrocoy, is located in the costal region

virginianus), cunaguaro (Felis pardalis), araguato monkey (Alouatta

Flora
In the zone of manglares Rhizophora predominates red mangle (Rhizophora mangle),
although also we can find black mangle (Avicennia nitida),
the wihte (Laguncularia racemosa) and botoncillo (Conocarpus erectus).
In the keys the vegetation is very little: grass of glass
(Salicornia fruticosa), beach bell(Sesuvium portulacastrum),
saladiIlo (Batis maritima), uvero of beach (Coccoloba uvifera).
In the forest semi-deciduo the naked Indian (Bursera
simaruba) and the Oak (Platymiscium diadelphum). Endemic species:
Justicia falconensis, Aspilia falconensis, Phthirusa maritima y
Pitcairnia steyermarkii. |
